Please be advised that the Fire Extinguisher Cabinets that we supply which are manufactured by Larsen’s Mfg. does not have any Maintenance & Operations Manuals available for their standard steel, aluminum, and stainless steel fire protection cabinets, nor is such information necessary. The general recommendation for cleaning is to wipe the cabinets off with a soft cloth to remove fingerprints and/or smudges. Use of any chemical solvent is not recommended as they may lead to damage of the cabinet finish. Over the years, it is important for the owner to monitor the cabinet finish and take appropriate measures to prevent any deterioration of the metal.
Cabinets constructed of solid brass or solid bronze require special maintenance. They should be cleaned and buffed only with a soft, dry cloth. Also, no chemicals or foreign substances of any type should be allowed to come in contact with these special metals.
