STC Acoustical Access Door 18" x 18"

The STC Acoustical Access Door is a high-quality, galvanized steel door fabricated with 5/8” thick acoustical tile providing a noise reduction coefficient (NRC) of .055. The 3/8” by 1/8” closed cell neoprene gasketing additionally contributes to the door’s noise reduction capability. Frame and Door: 18 gage galvanized steel Door: welded pan Trim: 1" wide, one piece constuction Gasketing between door and frame 3/8" wide by 1/8" thick closed cell neoprene gasketing. Hinges: continuous galvanized piano hinge. Latches: Southco Lift & Turn Compression Latch including cup sealing gasket finished in textured chrome. Keyed Finish: shall be prime coat of rust-inhibitive electrostatic powder, baked grey enamel. Stainless Steel shall have No. 4 finish.	Template Out of Date Sheet STC Test Report Current Sheet

Q: Is this access door available as tapeable?

A: I have confirmed with the manufacturer that they are not able to provide this as tapable. Providing an acoustical access door for this application is a feat in itself. This is not something they are working on or expect to offer soon.
