Questions and Answers
Q: I am looking at the IVES FS448 USD 26D Floor Stop and it states wood screws but this was suggested for a heavy duty sound proof door that weighs 450 lbs. It has broken off our previous door stop and the flooring is concrete covered by a rubber floor (we are a fitness facility) so I wanted to know how you would attach this door stop so it can withstand the door. BTW, the door dealer suggested this model.
A: For a door of that weight I would recommend that you would use the IVES FS18L Floor Stop - Steel with Rubber as seen here:

that is going to give you the sort of inertia that can be generated the only sort of stop that you can really consider would be something that's going to be literally grouted into the floor per the installation instructions as seen here :
