Q: I have a Diebold fire proof floor safe with an outer door 3-wheel lock that has May 23 1871 on it and an inner jewelers door with the same lock but has a 4-wheel pack on it. Both locks appear to have the same change key hole as what's shown in your picture. I'm not able to confirm it but people are telling me my locks are called an Eagle 161 and/or Peerlock lock. Does this SCL-12 key work on both 3 and 4 wheel packs?
A: I am sorry to say that I don't have an answer to your question. I went through some old information that I have on our safe change keys but have not found anything to confirm that it will work on both 3- and 4-wheel packs.
Q: Thank you for replying. So what key is needed for the 3-wheel pack and what key is needed for the 4-wheel pack?
A: Are you asking if we have a key for both 3 & 4 modern wheel packs or if we have a key that will work on your mid - late 19'th century unit?
Q: I need to know what change keys are needed for a 3-wheel pack and a 4-wheel pack that are a late 1800's to early 1900's Diebold lock which has the May 23 1871 patent die stamped into the dial's knob and are possibly called an Eagle 161 lock. Incase this lock is not an Eagle 161 lock, I have attached several pictures of the Diebold safe and lock as seen here:

I have already been on sites like antique-locks.com and lockpicking101.com but even after months of asking questions, it's very odd how no one wants to answer them. Although these Diebold locks are old, they are not extremely rare as Diebold used them in many of their safes and there are quite a lot of them that still exist. I have even had my local locksmith come take a look at my safe and locks. He tried every key he had on his Keedex K-18 change keys but nothing matched up and so since he said that he was very busy right now, I can try contacting businesses like yours who specialize in change keys for combination locks.
A: I wish I had a solid answer that was helpful, but the VP Sales & Marketing, R&D from Hudson Lock has told me they were unable to find anything to confirm that it will work on both 3- and 4-wheel packs.
Of the people I can think of, HPC (Hudson), Keedex and possibly A1 Security as seen here:

However outside of these three companies, I cannot add anything further.
