HPC-G-2 Replacement Saw for AG-2

If picking is not possible, lock-outs of tubular key locks can still be serviced. These hole saws destroy the pins at the shear line. Hole saws are available for standard and oversize keyways. Saws will fit any 1/4" (6.35mm) electric drill. Saw life is approximately 3 openings. Not for use on locks with hardened pins or ball bearings in the keyway. Replacement saw only

Questions and Answers

Q: How does one tell if the lock has hardened pins or ball bearings in the keyway?

A: no way to know for sure but identifying the lock make and model and then discovering what was used when manufactured would be the way to begin.

Q: It is an ACE II lock. Does that provide any more informaiton to determine if the lock has hardened pins or ball bearings?

A: It does not to me as I am unfamiliar with this lock. Was this made by Chicago? Based on what I can locate online it seems there would be nothing "special" about the components used in the construction of this cylinder and drilling it out should be fairly easy.
