Q: HOW do you INSTALL it? Square on door or jamb?
A:
Generally the square corner is on the door and the 5/8" radius corner is on the frame. This is not a rule however.
Q: THANK you so much! I have removed the pin to attach the radius side to the door and in the process of attaching the square side to the jamb on an exterior door I am about to install. Is it safe to do so? The reason is mainly in case that door has to be replaced, new doors seem to be of radius hinged to where would just take that hinge off and screw the jamb hinge radius leaf on to the door? I just purchased a DeWalt battery operated router and the Ryobi hinge jig and BEST investment ever. I LOVE them. Me (female) and manual hinge making do not mix.

Well thats not true - LOL. Women routinely outclass, outwork, outhustle and outthink men. I would prefer to have the hinge pin inserted through the top of the assembly when you put the door back to the frame and if you have to remove the button plug at what will be the top-end, do so with a center punch and then reverse those parts when you reassemble.
