Q: I am looking for your opinion. We have a rental condominium with bifold doors in all the bedrooms. We want to make one of them an owners closet. Would one of the Hager 9264 locks be sufficient mounted in the middle (vertically) or should we mount two: on near the top and the other near the bottom of the doors., The doors consist of 4 panels that meet in the middle. We don’t want someone trying to break into the closet area if the doors seem to not be well-locked.

A: Being this a low security type of application I simply wouldnt recommend more than one lock on the door to begin with. It certainly wouldnt hurt to have to but I dont know that it would substantially increase your resistance to forcible break-in or destructive bypass.

Q: Thanks for the very helpful video. I noticed you measured the lock to be 1.25" long. I have a 1 3/8" door - will this lock fit?
