Q: Does a existing template using the 551 exist with the application of 3/4" thick Stiles and rails on the face of 1 3/4" flush door?
A: Please reply with a sketch of your doors cross section and I will investigate.
Q: We are in the design stage for this project and need to verify we can hide the door using the 551 Hager hinge for this application.

Attached is proposed hidden door on the Hager 551 R&P Pivot as requested but will need template for clearance and pivot swing as seen here:

A: I see you will need to use a 551 on an 1-3/4 thick door and apply 3/4” to the pull face of the door - the door is going to be RHR. We can indeed tell you what type of margin is necessary for that additional 3/4" material as seen in the analysis as seen here:
