Refers to the compatibility of their product with a Hager deadbolt.
What can you tell me about this August lock compatible with a hanger unit? It will be for an exterior residential wooden door (1 3/8").
A: Hager has done testing with them and the information I can share is as follows:
August uses the deadbolt from the Hager 3200 Series Deadlock. If you or your customer has the Hager 3200 deadbolt on a door and wanted to change over to use the August product, they would be able to keep the Hager deadbolt in the door and buy only the August Home kit piece. If they buy the deadbolt from August, as shown here:

it would come with a tapered deadbolt design.
Hager also states
Hager is not currently selling any of the August locks as an option but if you already have a Hager deadbolt, this will work, but the the electronic portion would still have to come from August.
