Q: I have an exterior metal door that has sustained water damage to the wooden part of the door. It is not extensive damage but I would like to prevent fthe same damage once I repair the door. Could I use this on the bottom of the door to prevent the water penetration? I am going to clean out the damaed wood a fill it in with some sort of filler. Q: What is a Hospital Stop?

A: Hospital Stops are located at the bottom of the frame jambs and/or mullions. The integral door stops are terminates above floor line and is closed with a 45° or 90° angle to facilitate cleaning at the floor line. Frames with Hospital stops are used in Health Care facilities.

A: Yes, hospital stops are available on fire rated frames.

Maximum approval = 3 hour
Maximum sizes:

singles up to 40" x 80"

Maximum hospital stop height 6" from bottom of the frame.
Frames with hospital stops are available for smoke and draft applications.
