Q: Can I mount an LCN Cush closer with an GJ overhead stop?
A: the answer from LCN is:
It would be unnecessary to use the CNS/Cush arm and the Glynn Johnson overhead devices in the same application, both mechanisms stop the door.
However I would not hesitate to review both templates to ensure compatibility of these two devices when the volume of use and potential for abuse are present (schools, airports, stadiums).
Q: How is the 100 series from Glynn Johnson different from the 100 ADJ series?
A: The basic units are similar. The ADJ has a 12" long track that is mounted in the frame to allow the degree of opening to be selected in the field anywhere from 85 to 110 degrees, where the standard 100 series, the degree of opening must be selected when the door & frame are prepared and cannot be changed without reprepping the door and frame. The actual arm and track lengths are different between the different sizes and between the standard 100 series and the 100ADJ series.
Installation Instructions for the ADJ version of the 100 series can be reviewed here:

Q: How do I get a special template for a Glynn Johnson overhead stop or holder with special door considerations?
A: To determine if a Glynn Johnson overhead device will fit on a door with special considerations, we will need the following details:
What overhead stop/holder series and size are you wanting to use?
Door width.
Door thickness.
Type of hinge or pivot (including size, model #, template or dimensional drawing if available.)
Degree of opening desired.
List of other items installed at the top of the door or header jamb like flush bolts, latches, closers, mag locks, etc. (including product names and numbers and templates if possible.)
Any unusual door conditions like decorative panels, rabbited door and frame, flush transoms, etc. that may interfere with the overhead device.
Is the door or frame already prepped for an overhead, and if so what mounting group and degree of opening was used from our instructions/template?
