Q: There is 5 inches between the Security (Screen) Door abd the entrance door. So I would say 5 inches.

though it appears your 3-1/4" top rail will be insufficient to allow instllation of the body on the door.
Potentially you can create a drop plate (an item used to allow the installation of a door closer body in the instance where there is inadequate top rail height. Drop plates are most often seen on aluminum storefront doors where the top rail is perhaps 2-1/2" and the door closer installation required closer to 6") where you attach the drop plate to the door and secure it in those locations to the top rail. Then you mount the body to the drop plate (the drop plate naturally being tall enough to allow the door closer body to be attached.

Q: Pull side door install question. The door frame has a flat 1x4 trim around the door frame. When the closer is attached to the trim strip, the door attachment is not flush with the door. Do I need a trim strip on the door?
A: It would not be necessary to add an equal thickness of trim material underneath the track that applies to the face of the door in a pole hand installation because as seen on page 1 of the installation instructions as seen here:

You will simply position the arm with its star preparation over the spindle to compensate for the thickness of the trim.

Q: Hey there I have a commercial aluminum door with full glass, i need a low profile door return to accommodate a roll down door behind it. This door will be main entrance to my store so will be used often. Would this work or any other options?
A: It is very likely that the GLOBAL DOOR TC901 Standard Low Profile Door Closer would not be appropriate for a commercial door only because it likely does not have the level of robust engineering necessary to permit it to operate faithfully in a commercial environment.
It would be helpful to know the distance between the roll down door behind your exterior door but if I were to guess you would have plenty of room to install a parallel arm commercial grade door closer with a drop plate that would be installed on the face of the door.
I would proceed with purchasing the following components.
