Dorma door Closers
Overview

dorma The DORMA EM Series door holders are composed of a door mounted catch plate and a floor- or wall-mounted electromagnet.

dorma This series serves as an economical package for use in conjunction with DORMA door closers whenever controlled release and closing of doors is necessary for safety or convenience such as in hotels, hospitals, and nursing homes.

dorma The EM Series magnets offer superior reliability with builtin protection and low residual magnetism so they release easily even in applications meeting ADA requirements with minimal spring force door closers.

Dorma The catch plate on the door features a ball-shaped pivot arm for adjustability to further ensure perfect alignment..

Dorma Optional extension rods are available to accommodate greater distances between the door and wall.

Questions and Answers
Q: What motion sensor will work with this door holder.
A: I suppose most motions sensors might work with this but please explain why you are using a motion sensor and this door holder together. I would like to know the full summary of how this opening is needed to operate.

Is there a follow up question that we can perhaps attempt to answer? We take deep pride in our technical expertise, as we know it separates us from our competition, so don't hesitate to ask.

if we can assist you by answering further questions or with entering this order and please let us know if there is anything else we can help with.

Q: We are installing these mag locks on the customer entry doors to the climate controlled storage buildings at an Extra Space Storage facility. Currently they are using kick stops to hold the door open when customers are moving in the facility. Then they leave the door open. We want these doors to close after a delay of a few minutes. It is not tied to any security system.
A: Here is a narrative. Doe this work? An overhead passive infrared detector, set up in a fail safe mode (no signal = no power) connected to a time delay set to x minutes connected to the electromagnetic door holder? Thoughts?
