Q: Sirs do you sell the 24 volt DC solenoid for the Dorma H0164T 43L or the whole unit? It is in an old hospital medicine room door ( Dutch style) could be 20 to 40 years old)
It is suppose to hold open then release if there is a fire alarm
Not holding open consistently - Thanks for looking 30 plus years old.

A: Oldie but a goodie. HO164T.
Replaced quite a while ago w/ 1856 HT.
For what it’s worth, some current service parts would still work on it, but I’d recommend replacing w/ an all new unit.
According to the manufacturer or you can purchase the solenoid only which is part number ACC, SOL 1800 24V 08222030 .
Amazing because of the 30-plus year old age of this item that new items are still compatible.
You will need to reuse the existing bracket, though.

Q: Can a Dorma closer ITS9625 (or ITS9613) be used on a door (1-3/4 X 36 X 96) that is hung using a center pivot IVES 7255? It looks to me that they would interfere with each other. Gary Z
A: Gary - Indeed a center hung pivot application would be incompatible with the Dorma Closer ITS96 closer series and would be appropriate for only butt hung or offset pivot hung doors.
Having said that - we can certainly assist you with an overhead concealed closer that would be compatible with center hung pivot but it would not be by Dorma.
What specifically may we assist with at this time?
A: Unfortunately, we have had reports of binding when the ITS96 has been used with the SOSS hinges.
We have not done testing with either the Tectus or the SOSS hinges with the ITS96. Therefore we do not have templates for applications with these hinges. We recommend using the standard butt hinge template and templating off of the center line of the pivot. We have had customer feedback on some field applications.
The ITS96 will work with Tectus hinges when using the standard butt hinge template and templating off of the center line of the pivot.
My personal choice in this instance is to use the LCN 2010 series as seen starting on the 62nd page of the .pdf document here:

with the Soss 218 hinge as Soss hinges with a 2010, fortunately, do not require an ST (Special Template).
Just follow standard butt hinge templating and take your measurements from the center line of the hinge.
