Q: Are they pure copper or copper plated steel (like the ones sold at Home Depot.)

Q: Is there an added benefit to copper or brass vs steel? I'm asking because copper is much more expensive by weight.
A: I would say yes the fact that the nail is non-ferrous would be a net advantage to you and possibly a very advantageous position to be once these windows are several decades old.
