Q: I have 1990 panic bar and the top latch doe not always connect to the PB48 strike plate. What can be the cause of this? This only happens an the lefthand side door of our double door set up. It is also the most used sdie of the front doors. We are a church. Thanks for help.

and tell the specific part you are working on.

Q: When the door shuts you can hear the rods moving around inside the door. I then noticed that parts 11 and 12 are missing from that opener. Will they cause this and how do I fix it.
A: If 11 and 12 are missing I would simply purchase those springs and caps and install the material correctly and its going to simply require removing the head case from the door and it will become quite obvious as to how to go about replacing those springs.

Without those parts being in place he could expect a loose type of operation.

Q: We have double aluminum frame - glass panel tubelite doors. The panic bar reads series 990. However, the panic bar measures only 25.5" to the widest points. Can the bar be cut to fit?
A: Yes, the cross bar of the DOR-O-MATIC Concealed Vertical Rod 1990 EO can be cut to accommodate different door widths.
Q: Does this 1990 EO include the concealed vertical rods? The picture is only showing the crossbar.
A: It sure does. The 1990 EO it is a complete exit only device that includes the head cases, the crossbar and the entire vertical rod assembly that is concealed within the style of the door.
