Q: Question: Thank you for many of your educational videos - very helpful. I wanted your opinion on how the Deltana EPT425 Thin Edge Pull stacks up against you other edge pulls (Hager, Rockwood, Trimco). There is obviously a big difference in price. Of these, what would you recommend from a functional and cost basis if, for instance I was doing multiple doors in my remodel (11 doors)
A: Thank you for the question and can give you a very short initial answer.
The Deltana item would be the exact thin type concealed that I would use on my own house. Why so? The answer is multi-fold.
a. Deltana has, "across the board", excellent quality and excellent "fit and finish" (the material just look nice in your hand).
b. They have exceptional customer service.
c. The have outstanding value, or utility, throughout their product line.
I suppose the reason you do not see or hear about the EPT425 from Deltana as you do as the Rockwood, Hager, Trimco, Ives, Burns, Hiawatha is simply notoriety. Those companies have spent decades building their brands and as a result, are synonymous with this type of hardware. Deltana is a much newer company by comparison.
It is true the Deltana is .25" thick as seen here:

Whereas the Rockwood is .375" thick as seen here:

but the other dimensional properties are either the same or negligible. Personally I always prefer a smaller footprint of hardware, therefore to me the Deltana is a better choice.
My answer is, save the money, buy the Deltana and if you want to be cautious and time is on your side, buy one of each the Deltana and Rockwood and make your final decision.
