The conventional core simply requires an operating key and the pin tool. With the key inserted and rotated 90° CW, insert the pin tool, depress the tab in the base of the lever and pull the lever off the stem.
Fot SFIC, all you need is the control key and with a 15° CW rotation the core can be extracted from the trim.
