Q: Hi, I am trying to figure out how to install one of these for the first time. I am an experienced cabinet maker. I need to know how to design the custom desk I am making to accommodate one of these. Thanks,
A: Simply put, I do not have detailed information regarding the technical and dimensional properties of this lock system.
With the exception of the cylinder and lock body hole, I am unaware of any special design requirements for this lock. The manufacturers catalog is here:

Q: My name is Rick Zell and I am the Locksmith at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. I’m hoping that the locking studs on the 8090 series gang locks are available. Our faculty and Staff are constantly breaking the studs requiring a replacement. When the office is outfitted with matching cabinetry this is not only time consuming but expensive. Is there a prt number I can reference to my suppliers? Thank
A: The stud you mention can be viewed here:

Q: Can locking studs and stud slides be added and are they adjustable? I am looking for a five door solution.
A: The stud position is indeed variable on the Compx NLC8090KA415-14A Cabinet Lock - Disc Tumbler Gang Lock. With the bar length at only 24" as seen here:

will you weld bars together to obtain the total length to accommodate your 5 - drawer application?
Q: No I want to add 2 studs to the 24” bar so that 5 (small drawers) will be locked instead of 3
