A: And may I ask how do you know that? Do you see that from a tag on the side of the unit and if yes can you tell me the serial number if it is still there.
This inspection will allow was to know exactly what the bill of materials was when this unit was manufactured - and the reason for being able to pull the bill of materials is so that we eliminate all of the potential guesswork involved in which lifting mechanism you will require.
Q: We could not find any serial number on the hatch. It has been painted a few times and if anything was there it has since been covered up. I have attached a few more pictures we took while looking today.

hat is a steel painted hatch so you would need the RPRS2SS-E (180# springs) as seen here:

and to fit in the rounded bottom bracket (that is a REAL old hatch)
a small modification must be made. The bottom tube has a tab welded to the bottom which extends beyond the tube. In order to insert this into the rounded bracket the tab must be nipped of for ground down.
The replacement tube old style shocks are in stock and can ship immediately.
