Regarding your question on the Baldwin 4010 1.375" Floor Type Door Bumper, no - the .5” base height is surface mounted to the top of the floor and regrettably I do not have a photograph of what the unit looks like when installed.
Q: Do you think it would be ok to install the floor style close to the hinge? Its a trip hazard for my situation otherwise.
A:
Indeed yes and it is quite common to install a dome type floor stop quite near the hinge side of the door.
