ASI Surface Mounted Powder Soap Dispenser

Capacity of 32 oz (.94 liter) of powdered, granular soap
Rocking-action mechanism
Satin stainless steel
Lever meets ADA Accessibility Guidelines by requiring no more than 5 lbs pressure
4-3⁄8" x 7-1⁄4" x 4-9⁄16" (110 x 185 x 115 mm).

Operation

Depressing lever causes entire unit to rock back and forth and powdered soap to be dispensed.
Unit is reloaded through the top by unlocking cover.
Soap will continue to feed properly until empty.

Installation

Unit is surface mounted to wall or partition using No10 self tapping screws (supplied) through holes provided in attached bracket.
For maximum usability and compliance with ADA Accessibility Guidelines, unit should be installed so that bottom of unit is 54" (1372mm) max. above finished floor (AFF) when clear floor side reach access is provided or 48" (1219mm) max. AFF if clear floor forward reach access is provided or 46" (1168mm) max. AFF if side reach over an obstruction only is provided (ie: vanity).
Recommended installation for general utility is 42" (1066 mm) AFF or 6" (152 mm) minimum above wash basin.

Q: So to mount the dispenser you depress the flat spring, pull the pin out and it releases the mounting bracket, giving access to the three mounting holes. Thank you! A certain party threw our directions away and tried to mount the dispenser with doublestick tape. Now I think we can do a bit better.

Q: To get the powdered soap is this a one hand horizontal operation or two hand operation? I’m not convinced I think I would rather have a brand new porcelain coated round Large Boraxo powdered soap dispenser, one hand operation with a few slight vertical taps! Ah the good old ol days!

A: According to the manufacturer the operation of the ASI 0348 Powdered Soap Dispenser is indeed a one-hand operation to dispense soap.

Q: Out of curiosity would you know the size of the mounting screws?

A: The screws I measured in the package are qty 3 #8 x 1-3/8" pan (more like truss) head screws.
