Q: can the SREX-1 be cieling mounted

A: The Alarm Controls SREX-100 IR Request to Exit Sensor is not intended to be mounted on a ceiling. Having said that if you had an extremely flush ceiling condition to the top of the header and you fabricated a custom angle brackets I do see how you may be able to install that on the ceiling.
