Q: Rich - I'm about to open a building with 22 doors that need to be keyed differently with Adams Rite 2331 locks. I would love that have the tools to rekey these locks as the tenants leave or lose their keys. Do you have these tools? And, if so, what do they cost?
A: You would need a pinning kit and plug follower at a minimum.
Please see this video for my opinion on this:

Q: I'm trying to find a cylinder that would work for a 1 1/2" thick door. I don't want to use the ring spacer that comes with the standard 1" cylinder. Do you recommend any?
A: Follow up Answer: What lock type are you using this with and is the door already prepped for the lock body?
Original Answer: Is this for an aluminum storefront door? Is there a specific security lock you are already using? Or, is just a standard application? If it's standard you'll use a 1" cylinder (for 1-1/2" thick door) - you'll want no more that 13/16" exposed thread from the face of the door once the cylinder is installed. We do offer different cylinder collars for standard applications or for security purposes (that are not necessarily spacers). Is there a follow-up question I can assist with?
