Q: How can you tell if its pre or post 2011?
A:
After exchanging communication with the manufacturer I believe the final answer is that they are unable to tell us what a pre-2011 unit looks like compared to the modern unit and the only answer the factory has provided was to send to us, then us to the factory, a photograph of your unit from which they will then determine if it is the pre 2011 or current design.
