Note:
Regarding access panels the width is generally the first dimension in the size. Therefore a 16" x 30" is 16" wide and 30" high. Access panels can, though they are not typically, be installed in any orientation. To state this specifically either dimension can be the width or the height. The defining characteristic is that the hinges are always on the second dimension. ie... a 16" x 30" access panel has the height on the 30" side.
