A: Pivots do no allow the door to self close and feature no control over the door.

We will need to fabricate a custom unit for your 4" door thickness so as to spread out the door load over the bottom arm.

Q: I do have one question. I believe the spindle can be removed on these hinges in order to get a longer one if needed- Is that correct?
A: No - sorry the bottom spindle from the ABH 0147 pivot cannot be removed as it is "press fit" into the bottom floor portion and is not removable nor serviceable.
