Q: Hi Richard. I am looking at part number R312717RND, Encoder for a sliding dura glide. What I really need is the round magnet that is attached to the motor shaft and rotates inside this encoder, about the size of a quarter. Does this come with the magnet and if not where can I get it? If this comes with the magnet I'll buy the whole encoder. The magnet is not internal to the motor, attaches to the end of the shaft inside this encoder. I just don't see the magnet pictured.

A: This magnet comes on the motor. You would have to order the motor.

Q: The link leads to the encoder, but you said the magnet is on the motor. Did you mean it comes with the encoder?

A: The magnet is not included with the encoder and only comes with the motor and is not available as a standalone item.

The short answer is to get the magnet you have to purchase the motor.

Q: How do you remover the magnet? When i try it just turnes the motor.

A: I cannot provide technical support as I am not factory trained to do so - your best bet is to contact the manufacturer and ask for contact information for a local integrator, technician or installer in your area.
