Q: Greetings from Virginia. Y’all have come through for me on a lot of occasions for what to buy, am sure you can do it again.
Outswing door sill. Church door installation. Ideally ADA but the city inspector won’t kill me if not because the location is 1911 (yes over a century ago). Brick walls a foot thick with flat concrete flooring so there is no slope where this sill will be installed. I point this out because many of the Pemko products assume a slope for placement on material on the inside. Since this is outswing I need a small horizontal distance on the outswing side. I know Pemko has some ADA or almost ADA outswing sills with some gasketing, and the bronze finish they offer is really good, and the commercial product is really good (based on what I got from you before). On the inside, carpet will abut the sill. The door is 36” (door jamb, with sides and top, coming without sill).
Point me in the right direction and I will order ASAP.
Thanks and best wishes,
Charles E.
A: Charles - thanks - would the Pemko OS95518DW 36.5 in. Dark Bronze Anodized Aluminum Outswing Adjustable Oak Top Sill Residential Threshold as seen here work for your application:

Q: No I want to avoid wood for this exit door install so am looking at Pemko 2006 and 2009. Not using vertical panic bars but these are ADA. The difference is the 2006 requires abutting carpet or tile which I will have. This will be installed directly on concrete slab if that is appropriate?
A: I think the
Pemko 2006AT 36" Mill Finish Latching Panic Exit Saddle with Black Thermo Seal insert would be the ideal choice for your application and would certainly be appropriate for attaching directly to concrete. I suggest using double expansion anchors and flat head machine screws (which we can provide for a marginal upcharge).
