Questions and Answers
Q: CM Lock Manual Programming Disabled
A: When trying to program a CM lock, it may display an error code with a solid green light and 10 read flashes. This indicates the lock has already been programmed with computer software and manual programming has been disabled. Once a CM lock has been programmed with computer software, manual programming is automatically disabled in the lock preventing any codes or credentials from being entered manually. This is due to the fact that any credentials programmed manually into a CM lock are not able to be audited by the software.

If the computer software and programmer are no longer available, then the lock must be reset to factory defaults to re-enable manual programming.

Notice: Resetting to factory defaults will erase any computer programmed PIN codes or credentials.

To reset to factory defaults and clear the memory:

  • Remove the cover plate from the battery board.
  • On the battery board, press the CLR button 3 times.
  • The memory will have been cleared. Please see the CM programming manual for programming instructions.
