A: The design change went into effect on 6-16-2011. The stop is now removable and can be changed from one side of the shoe to the other, which makes it a non-handed arm. All arms are shipped standard for left hand applications.
This engineering change did affect the templating of the closer. The stop in the shoe is slightly larger than the original handed cush shoe. The new non-handed arm template locates the closer and shoe a 1/2" closer to the hinge to make up for the thickness difference of the stop.
