A: The Keedex K-BXMOR1 Weldable Gate Box, Mortise, 2 3/4" Backset, 14 Gauge Steel, Compatible with Schlage L Series, Sargent 7800/8200, Yale 4600, 8600, 8700 , 1 ea would not be appropriate for use with the Schlage L9010 mortise passage latch because the above gate box has a preparation for a cylinder.

The unit that you want to use would be the Keedex K-BXMOR4 Universal Mortise Gate Box, Centered, No Trim Hole, No Cylinder Hole, 14 Guage Steel, Suitable for Marks Mortise Locks, 1 ea as seen here:
