Q: Does Ives offer a continuous hinge or pivot for lead lined doors?

A: Ives does not offer a continuous hinge designed specifically for lead lined doors. Standard hinges may work if the hinge and mounting hardware do not penetrate the lead lining in the door. Reference the hinge template for mounting locations. Since lead layer locations vary, always check with the door manufacturer for product compatibility.

General Reference -- Please Contact Door Manufacturer If Unsure:

If lead location in door is center / core *

1. For doors < 600lbs, consider 7203F or 7237F pivots, or 157XY hinge with sex bolts and reinforcements.

2. For doors > 600 lbs, consider 7230F or 7237F pivots.

* Always check for interference between lead and mounting screws.
