Q: Hi Richard. We have a IEI 212e. We have been using the same entry code forever. We would like to change it but have not been successful. In reading the manual it appears that we need the location code in order to do this. Is there another way to change this code, since we do not know the location code?
A: Do you know the master code?
Q: How do I silence the buzzer when the door opens?
A: Buzzing would mean you have an AC load such as an electric strike . the only way to silence that would be to add a rectifier to the system and then replace the locking device with a direct current model - we can help you with all of that - reply to this email with photographs of whats making the buzzing sound.
Q: Hi Richard, We have the IEI 212W key pad and want to change the entry code. I believe the master code is 1234. I have tried 99# master code * and can’t get into a way to change our code. Any advice you could give us would be great. Thanks Sean
A: Are you getting a flashing yellow LED after "99# master code *" ?
