GE Security GEC-KTS27316

The KTS27316 is a 16-channel passive transceiver that is part of GE Security’s new, integrated CCTV UTP (unshielded twisted pair) system. Designed to expand the capabilities of the CyberDome® product line, this active receiver is able to receive real time color or monochrome video up to 3,000 feet over standard UTP telephone wire. Transmitting over UTP wire, rather than over traditional video cable, provides a reliable, high quality, flexible and expandable system that uses less conduit space, and can be built into existing wiring topologies. This 16-input receiver was designed with unparalleled interference immunity, allowing video signals to coexist in the same wire bundle as telephone, datacom signals, and low voltage power circuits with no degradation in video quality. Video signals are sent without the need to digitize or compress, and without the signal degradation associated with these techniques. The KTS27316 provides built-in transient protection and surge suppression. The ability to transmit over UTP wire means that the KTS27316 can be utilized in both new and existing installations. The unit is housed in an attractive rack-mount enclosure using only one unit of rack space. The KTS27316 active receiver has been designed to work with other GE Security transceiver and receiver components as a system, and is guaranteed to function only when paired with GE Security and Network Video Technologies (NVT) compatible products.
