as a result im unable to verify the answer to the question posed.

However based on what Ive been able to determine this exit sign camera is powered by 12 Volt DC. My understanding of the term line voltage is that you are referring to something thats not considered low voltage which is usually above 48 volts. This is not a line voltage camera its a low voltage camera. If I were to make an educated guess I would not power it with anything above 12 Volt DC and once I powered it with 12 Volt DC I would test operation.
