Q: Will this support a 40 lb tempered glass panel? Thank you in advance
A: My opinion is that 40 lbs is too heavy for the EPCO EP14A-6 Aluminum Sliding Glass Door Dual Track Set - 72" Length
based on my logic that your glass would need to be approximately 13 sq. ft. to weight 40 lbs (as 1/4” = 3.27 lbs. sq. ft.) and that a likely glass size of 36" x 48" is too large/heavy for this track & roller system.
You would be far better served using the Knape KVP992-72 Sliding Glass Door Steel Hardware Set - 72” Length

as it's ball bearing design will handle 40 lbs glass without concern for the safety and reliability of the installation. The ball bearing carrier works very smoothly.
