Dorbin has a minimum order requirement. Orders smaller than the required minimum have a longer lead time as we need to consolidate onto a "stock" order. If you need a faster lead time, simply exceed the minimum order amount.
Dorbin has put into place extreme price increases and their material has become exceptionally expense and strongly urge you to consider Reese or Pemko as alternates.

from a performance standpoint.
Also, is polished aluminum color the same as mill aluminum?
I would each of use those in different instances.
I would use pile when I was looking to simply weatherseal something from draft or a breeze perspective or possibly from a perspective of keeping insects out but not one for severe cold or moisture. I would use pile when I needed a very low resistance of force to the closing device on the door as well.
Vinyl I would use only when economy was the driving factor as it is a very poor performing item especially with exposure to ultraviolet meaning daylight.
if you're looking for moisture penetration resistance I would go with a solid or closed-cell neoprene or polyurethane.
I would very much recommend the polyurethane unit such as the Reese DB595CU Door Shoe with Extender and Polyurethane insert - 1-3/4" Width - Clear Anodized Aluminum as seen here:
The difference between mill and polished is that mill is raw aluminum and polished is that same raw aluminum but it has literally been polished to the point where it's marginally reflective.
