Q: Hi there, I am looking at your Don Jo extended strike plates I am wondering if you could tell me how close their black finish matches emtek's black finish
A:
While the finish would not be identical because no manufacturers finish will match exactly or precisely any other manufacturers finish - I can tell you that I've seen black from both and they will be quite complimentary.
Q: great the context is that we're doing emtek hardware but have some really big casing that's even too bug for the emtek extended lip strike so just trying to find something complementary.
A:
I would - I would also suggest that you consider the possibility of taking all of the hardware and then having a powder coater - sanded it all down or sandblasted it all down then having it all powder coated a single uniform perfectly identical finish - - if matching it to the nth degree is the most crucial aspect I would very likely consider and suggest that you do that.
