A: No - not at all the Detex EAX-500 unit when ordered with an IC7 7-pin Interchangeable Core Mortise Cylinder Housing, or the Detex MC65 Conventional Core Mortise cylinders for that matter, are "self adjusting (quoting detex Technical Support with the "self adjusting term").
