The LR-2000KIT is provided in a compact, fitted carrying case. It works with the AWID's uAxcess UHF readers, as well as long-range readers. The LR-2000KIT serves as an upgrade for the LR-TEK Kit, which is a required first-time-only purchase by every company that installs AWID's long-range readers. These Kits turn much of the work into a one-man job.

Components of the LR-2000KIT reader test kit:

• LR-2000-EVAL UHF Long-Range Sensor - An LR-2000 UHF reader except with no Wiegand or RS-232 interface ability. Cable 32 inches long, with 4 spring-clips for quick connections. Use with LR-Sounder Test Unit for beeper & LED indicators. For stand-alone use only, not wired to panel.
• LR-Sounder Test Unit - The visible and audible feedback device. Clips to the "EVAL" reader, the UHF reader being installed, or any reader with an RS-232 Transmit Data wire.
• USB-to-DB9 Cable Adapter - Cable. 22 inches long (black jacket), with DB9 female connector and USB plug. Extends the DB9-to-Clips Cable Adapter (described below) to connect your reader's RS-232 output into a PC or controller that has no 9-pin serial input port. • DB9-to-Clips Cable Adapter - Cable. 6 inches long (gray jacket), with 3 springclips for RS-232 wires on the reader, and a 9-pin "D" connector for a PC's serial port. Mates with the USB-to-DB9 Cable Adapter for newer PCs. To show your reader's output as a list of code data, and to download the PC's commands to change your reader's repetition rate or RF field strength.
• DC Power Supply - AWID's PS-123.3A plug-in module with 6 foot cables for 120 VAC in and 12 VDC out. Two spring-clips for DC voltage to reader and test unit. (When working on a DC power problem, substitute a charged 12 volt, 7.5 ampere-hour battery.)
• Test Tags – Set of 7 UHF Tags & Cards - One of each of 5 vehicle-mounted tags and 2 hand-held cards that are compatible with LR-2000, LR-2200, and LR-3000 readers, and their "HiLo" variations.
• "LR-2000KIT Quick Installation Guide" - Laminated instructions sheet with full information and simple hook-up diagrams, for basic tests and performance checks.
• Carrying Case - Light-weight and compact case, with foam interior and a cut-out for every item. Hinged cover. Carrying handle. Black.
• Recommended Accessory (supplied by user) - A camera tripod (available at a local store) is very convenient for supporting the reader during tests and demos. Holds reader at effective 6 ft height.
