The label on the back does serve as instructions for this transformer but this transformer is going to be able to handle 110 light voltage down to 8 volts etc The instructions on here shows screws 3 and 4 for 16 volt, 4 and 5 for 8 volt AC and 3 and 5 for 24 volt AC. 16 volt .6 AMP 8 volt is 1 1/4 AMP Is used for tremendous amount of applications for this outside of the standard applications such as an electric strike, door bell or other low voltage low amp sorts of items. Transformers like this can be used for a lot of sorts of items and a plug in item makes life a lot easier when you can not run conduit situation to power something low voltage.
