This video is to bring you a closer look at the Pemko 94518AW Mill Finish Aluminum Anodized Narrow Trim Adjustable Top Sill Residential Threshold. The 94518 represents that this is an aluminum adjustable top threshold. This item is specifically intended for the residential pre-hung wood door/frame industry. This features a vinyl moisture seal barrier (keeps contact with the adjustable oak top). This adjusts up to a 1/4". This threshold is the 'NT' version (the narrow trim). The narrow trim on the back is a 1/4", whereas the standard trim is 7/16". The 'A' stands for the mill aluminum finish. The 'W' stands for the wood material integrated. There is an image below this video that shows everything important dimensionally about the item. 4-11/16" wide, overall height at the minimum is 1-1/8" (add 1/4" for adjustment, brings you to 1-3/8"). You can adjust one side higher than the other to compensate for an uneven sill or a door not hung plum. There are four adjusting screws built-in. Being a threshold for the pre-hung door industry there are no screws or screw holes provided. During the construction of a wood door/frame this type of threshold will be built into the bottom of the frame jambs by way of the wood backer edges that are incorporated in the bottom of this threshold. You have options for extensions with this item. You can extend the front from 3/4" out to 3" (purchased separately, part number begins with EXT (number and color) ). There is a 5 degree bevel on this unit, this helps keep water away. Some people like to install door sweeps with this unit (sweeps that are at an angle).
