This video is to bring you a closer look at the Pemko 84514A Mill Finish Aluminum All-Aluminum Fixed Sill Residential Threshold. The 84514 stands for the fact that this is a fixed sill threshold, covered in aluminum with a pine wood backer. The 'A' means this is in the mill aluminum finish. Available in other finishes (i.e. dark bronze). Available only in the lengths on the website. There are no preparations for screws and there are not fasteners included. This threshold is used for people in the residential wood door/frame industry or people looking to build a door and a frame. The threshold will be built into the frame on the bottom, they will mechanically fasten the jambs to the edge of the wood backer underneath the threshold. This is a non-adjustable sill. This is an 1-1/4" in height. It has a 5 degree bevel/slope. There is an image below this video showing everything important dimensionally about this item. 4-9/16" tall (common size for jamb depths). 1/2" tall on the slope. Some people like to use a door sweep with a bevel on it to that it can gracefully touch the face of the threshold and then create a nice seal.
