This video is to bring you a closer look at the Pemko 5025ANB Double Door Astragal.
The 5025 represents the fact that this item has weatherstripping housed in the extrusion and that this is intended to be mortised into the edge of a wood door (press fit).
the 'A' stands for the fact that this is in the mill aluminum finish.
The 'NB' stands for the nylon brush seal (bristle).
Pemko also has this available in the 5025ASB (soft brush style).
You can use this item on aluminum doors, I personally would consider using the soft brush model on a wood door.
People who want weatherstripping concealed order this material.
This can also be mortised into a head or a jamb.
1/4" is the thickness of the extrusion, it also has a 1/4" rise.
The projection of the bristle is also a 1/4".
Available in several lengths on the website.
You can order any length you want.
If we do not have your specific length this piece should be relatively easy to cut on a miter box saw.
For the extrusion you may want to use end cutters.
If you have need for a custom length by all mean let us know by ordering the next longest piece or pieces and indicating in the comment field what size you'd like for us to cut the material back to.
