looking for some help to get my lock back up and running Paul F

A: Without consulting an old catalog that I have i would say that the part number of the locks that you have would be the Schlage EB51 PLY x 605 (that lock was manufactured from the 1950s up until about the very early 1990s) and while there are no replacement parts available for it with the exception of the latch bolt because that latch bolt is used in the Schlage B250 series locksets, and additionally I bet you could purchase the interior knob as well although I have never investigated that, I am happy to report that we will be able to supply you the item you need.

Thank you for the photographs and we spoke on the telephone were you indicated that the problem was centered on a malfunctioning striker as you called it but we're going to turn it latch bolt as that is the industry standard terminology for that piece of hardware that comes out of the edge of the door itself and where you told me the edge of the door to the center of the hole was 2-1/2” and that would of course translate to the 2-?” dimension of the latch bolt which would be the Schlage 12-100 Square Corner Deadlatch, 2 3/8" Backset As seen here:
