STI manufactures a number of items meant to stop abuse of fire safety equipment. The fire alarm stopper is a plastic cover that goes over the fire alarm. When the cover is raised, a loud warning horn is sounded, drawing attention to the area before the alarm is pulled. A similar device is available without the alarm.

Similar to the fire alarm stopper is the fire extinguisher theft stopper. The device is designed to hang next to the extinguisher with a metal cord connecting the two. When the fire extinguisher is picked up, the cord activates the alarm.

Other devices include the Steel Web Stopper, which mounts over the smoke detector to prevent damage, and the Exit Stopper multifunction door alarm, which prevents unauthorized use of emergency exit doors.
