A: From the photographs it appears as if there was some damage from the door being pushed too far open. I suggest that you replace back door stop with a unit that would feature to mounting points to the floor such as the Rockwood 445H-619 Satin Nickel Plated Clear Coated Brass Heavy Duty Door Stop as seen here:

This will certainly permit the doorstop to better contend with the high-volume use I'm at opening and according to your photograph you do have the room down on which to mount the wider doorstop unit.
