Q: standing inside door open to outside to the left,is this a left handed door
Q: Enjoy your short videos, but for some reason I cant seem to find any videos or information on how to actually adjust the concealed drop pins in the Kawneer 1686 door. We have 3 of these double doors exiting our Dining Commons Lunch Room and all of them have the same problem... If the push bar is not fully pushed in when exiting, the pins dont fully retract, so the pins end up hitting the floor plate and not closing properly. I know we cant be the only ones having this problem. The door locks work perfectly when you physically completely depress the push bar, but with students coming and going if the push bar gets partially depressed, theyre able to exit, but then the door pins hit the frame. Is it the push bar that needs the adjustment, so the door wont open unless fully depressed? Or will we need to remove the concealed rods, make an adjustment, then reinstall?? Thoughts? Maybe you do have a video I just cant find. Thanks much!
A: The proper functionality requires a full movement of the push bar in order to achieve full bolt retraction -
Have you adjusted the top and bottom bolts with wrench provided allowing the bolt to extend beyond stile. Turn top and bottom bolts counterclockwise to lengthen and clockwise to shorten?
This is referred to on page one of the installation instructions as seen here:

Q: confirmation im ordering correct handing Kawneer 133620-17 1686 standing on outside of double doors, door is on the left and swings out. Just making sure this is correct
A: "standing on outside of double doors, door is on the left and swings out" - this door is a LHR.

though in theory I can make them on the CNC out of 6061 aluminum. I could do so at some point in the future but do not have any short terms plans of doing so.
Q: Would you happen to have any templates to prep a door for Kawneer’s 1686 & 1786 panic devices?
A: We do not and Kawneer will not provide templates to us for the 1686, 1786 no Paneline series exits.
Q: If ordering "Kawneer 1868", does this come with vertical rods? (i.e, everything you will need for complete assembly)
A: Yes, the Kawneer 1686 is indeed a complete device and includes everything needed for a new or replacement installation.
