Q: Can this closer be single acting. If so, how do you accomplish this?
A: You would make the Jackson 20-106M-20 Center-Hung Standard Overhead Concealed Hold Closer into a single acting type closer by simply installing a stop so as to prevent it from swinging in the opposite direction.

Having said that it is of course my guess that what you really want to do is hang the door on traditional butt hinges or perhaps an offset pivot set and then in that regard you would use a piece of hardware that would be called a offset arm and slide channel assembly something as similar to what is seen here:

However please be mindful that there are many different variations of this directly related to the door type in construction so choosing the correct slide offset arm is based on that and then of course you do need to have some method of mounting the door such as standard butt hinges or offset pivots.
